Candice Richardson grew up on a farm in Crossville, Alabama, and has loved reading, learning new things, and school as long as she can remember.  She would go so far as to admit that she loves shopping for school supplies and books more than she does shopping for new clothes. She is married to Keith Richardson, and they have two children, Carly, born 2008, and Kross, born 2011.  She and her family are active members of Sand Mountain Cowboy Church and enjoy watching sports and playing with their many pets.

Mrs. Richardson is a National Board-Certified Teacher and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with History as a second major, a Master of Education degree in Secondary English Language Arts, and a Teacher Leader Education Specialist degree.  She is currently pursuing certification as a Gifted Education Specialist.  She has been teaching since 2003 and has taught students in grades two through college sophomores.  She has been teaching for Boaz City Schools since 2007 and is currently serving as the school system's Gifted Education Specialist.
