Mr. Shane Harrell is a life-long native of Calhoun County, Alabama. He grew up in Jacksonville and is a nineteen ninety-two graduate of Jacksonville High School. Mr. Harrell earned his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University and his graduate degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. At the start of the 2024-2025 school year, Mr. Harrell will begin his twentieth year of educating and developing young people. Mr. Harrell has been married to Paige (Dobbins) for twenty-nine years. They have three children: Austin, a teacher and coach at Hoover High School, Wesley, a teacher and coach at Oak Mountain High School, and Olivia, a Nursing Major at Jacksonville State University. Mr. Harrell and his family reside in Jacksonville, Alabama. “As I step into the role of Assistant Principal at Boaz Intermediate School, I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to become a part of the Boaz City Schools System.
